This was originally a subdivision of the estate of Cluny KGL. The NGR given is inferred from the position of Clunie Mill, upstream from Clunie Bridge on SGF (1828). It is supposed that this is the same mill. Gordon’s 1642 Lugtonmill refers to the same mill at a time when the Cluny estate was being called Lugton.
