‘Arable land by a wood’. It lay west of Kinghorn Loch. See Seafield KGH for more details. ‘Wodefeilde, Tyre et Seyfeilde’ has been wrongly transcribed in Reg. Morton as ‘Wodefeildecyre et Seyfeilde’ (1456 Morton Reg. i app. no. 14).
On OS 6 inch 1st edn. (1856) Woodfield is shown as a cottage west of Kinghorn Loch at the above NGR. It had disappeared by the time of the OS 1 inch 2nd edn. (1897).
