‘Head or end of the park or enclosed land’; probably a division of Whitehill ABO, buildings are shown but not named on SGF (1828). Whistlemont appears to have been a failed attempt to change the name, inspired perhaps by the nearby Heathermont # (Hethryhill 1753 Roy sheet 17, 5, Heathermount 1814 Sasines no. 10085, Heathermount 1828 SGF, Heathermont 1837 Aberdour Map/1837).
