en ? Monzie + Sc hall

This formed part of the lands of Bucklyvie, and the steading here or nearby is marked South Bucklyvie on Roy/1753. Early spellings such as Mungie Hall suggest comparison with Monzie near Creiff and Monzie in Glenfender PER, both pronounced /mɔˈni:/.[42] It is probably an eighteenth-century coining, with the first element deriving from one or other of these places.

/ˈmɪnzɪ hɔl/ or /ˈmɪnzɪ hɔ:/
