The ford must have been over the burn now known as the Crossford Burn, which joins the Lyne Burn south of Keavil Farm at East Lodge (of Pitliver House), NT067856 (all OS Pathf. names). The NGR given for Crossford is for where the main road west from Dunfermline crosses the Crossford Burn. It lay on the lands of Knockhouse DFL.
