The name on OS Pathf. applies to the southern slopes of OS Pathf. Knockmurdo Hill (184 m). OS 6 inch (1856) calls this hill Boghall Hill, named after a settlement of Boghall on the north side of the hill, which no longer exists (q.v. above).
