The bridge in question is over the Ballantagar Burn, the boundary between MML and CLS. This bridge is called Daft Bridge on Ainslie/1827 (for which see Daft Mill CLS). Note the late interpretation of Brigton to Brighton, suggesting direct English influence. The building is marked but not named on OS Pathf. and OS Explorer. On the most up-to-date map not even a building is marked; however, nearby at NO315128 stands a house called Bridgehill (OS 1:10,000, 2007).
When it is first mentioned in 1606, it is as a division of the lands of Over Rankeillour MML (RMS vii no. 981).
