These are the lands of Torr (of Kedlock) belonging to the laird of Forret, as described in a charter of 1623, which mentions the teinds of the lands of Torhill, ‘except for the teinds of the parts of the Torrs (of Kedlock) belonging to the laird of Forret’ (exceptis decimis partium de Torres ad dominum de Forret spectantium) (RMS viii no. 469).
