Flowing out of Black Loch ABE/CLS, it provided the power to drive the mill at Woodmill (a ‘Mill Dam’ and ‘sluice’ are shown on the 1855 map at NO268144); in Collessie Den it becomes Den Burn, then south of Collessie village (Kirkton) it becomes Collessie Burn (all OS Pathf. names).
