Within the Sandlins/Saurlins stands Craignoon, where serious consideration was given to building a new deep-water harbour for Cellardyke in the mid-nineteenth century (Watson 1986, 11617; with photograph of “The ‘Saurlins’ with the Craignoon skelly” ibid., 117). ‘Later, the name was given to an Anstruther steam-drifter.’ (Harry Watson (HDW)).
