See Lathallan KCQ, PNF 3, for full details of the lands of Lathallan and their early division between NBN and KCQ. According to A. H. Millar, Wester Lathallan, long the seat of the Fairfouls of Lathallan, was united to the estate of Gilston LAR early in the nineteenth century by the Dewars of Gilston (1895 ii, 25). A mansion house, which became known as Gilston House, was then built on the newly acquired lands (NO450065): it is already shown on a plan of 1808 of the united properties of Gilston LAR, South Falfield KCQ (acquired by Gilston c.1700 according to Millar loc. cit.) and Lathallan (West) (Gilston House Plan 2).[275] This plan had been commissioned by the new proprietor, Lieutenant Colonel David Dewar.
