‘Mossy grasslands’, the grasslands presumably being the open hill-side between Foggieleys and Annfield Farm Cottages. Ainslie/Fife (1775) and SGF (1828) show Leys at the site of OS Pathf. Annfield Farm Cottages (NO393062), 900 m to the south-east, where a building is shown but not named on OS 6 inch (1855).
