Clagmyre # KTT S NO2807 3

Clagmar 1630 RMS viii no. 1528 [‘lands called Linlithgow Lands KTT and Clagmyre’ (terras vocatas Linlitquoislanis et Clagmar)]
Clagmyre 1799 Sasines no. 5322

Sc clag + Sc mire

‘Sticky (claggy, probably actually clay-ey) bog’. The NGR is suggested because of its association with Linlithgow Lands # KTT, q.v. Appearing in the above-mentioned sasine of 1799 (no. 5322) is also the lost Burnside of Clagmarney, which seems to contain the same specific element as Clagmyre.
