Easter Cash was made exempt from feu-duties ‘as compensation for a portion of Easter Cash having been enclosed and joined to the royal wood of Falkland’ (in compensationem portionis de Eister Cashe circumvallate et adjuncte saltui regio de Falkland). This decision was taken at the Parliament held in Perth in 1606, and is noted in RMS vii no. 644 col. 4.
