Sc craig or en Craig + Sc heuch

The two elements of this word mean very similar things: craig being ‘crag, rock’, heuch meaning ‘crag, precipice, cliff, steep hill.’ It refers to a rocky outcrop above the shore, close to Kincraig, which itself contains G creag. It is therefore possible to analyse this name as the heuch of a feature called (the) Craig, with the existing name Craig deriving from G creag.

While it does not appear on OS Pathf. or OS Explorer, the name is still current on OS 1:10,000 digital.
